Heading into the city it is always good to take some time to take the temperature, it was baltic, and the movement felt slow. I headed to some quiet areas and the light was good.

Remember, when you are looking at images people share they are offering more than a pleasing image, take a deeper look and rather than like leave them a comment, even if it is “I like that photo”.

Racism in Scotland is not a bygone era, it is more difficult to see when it is so cleverly hidden behind a rhetoric that disguises it as spending cuts and lack of resource which is why individuals, organisations, and media need to reclaim the language and call out racism, terrorism, state oppression, state violence and when it comes down to it, hatred.

That person on the street, with nothing to eat has nothing to do with immigration but everything to do with Political greed.

One speaker yesterday did a roll call of 30 children’s names murdered by Israeli arms, however a roll call of all the children’s names who have lost their lives would take days to read out.

Where does it end, even in a professional role I have noticed in recent weeks emoji responses to professional emails, will we have the next general election with an emoji voting card to mirror the state of politics?

I may be wrong, but a website provides a level of authenticity that social media does not, it also displays my work without distraction, and it allows people a safe way to interact with me. All very basic but in my mind good reason for a mere “hobbyist” to have a website that is not for commercial purpose.

The manual focus is mesmerizing to use and I’m finding myself using auto focus less, resulting in me slowing down and the pastime being therapeutic again. An escape!!
